Celebrate the newest Brockway with a trip to the Great Wall

Malia

Dad's squirrels

Can I just say, Malia LOVES her sissy!

Can't hold a squirrel down!

Hmmm!  It's a good thing hardly anyone was there-the girls ran from one spot to another!

These 2 thought every climb was a race!
I tried to keep up with the girls, while Joe and Eric wandered and chatted behind us

I love silly signs

Phoebe couldn't believe how much energy her big sister has!  Malia ran right pass a spot selling ice cream.  (and beer for Joe)

The toboggan run
Monday was a great day.  We walked to the Civil Affairs office and were able to finalize the adoption.  We don't know if we will be able to receive Phoebe's passport before leaving Beijing because there is a 3 day holiday starting on Friday.  After we left the Civil Affairs office, our driver was there, ready to take us to the Great Wall.  There are many sections of the Great Wall, since it is thousands of miles long, but we chose a section that tends to be less crowded and has a "toboggan" that you can ride down to the bottom.  It was a much more mild day-in the 80's, as opposed to 93, cloudy, and breezy.  Perfect for climbing thousands of steps!  (although we were all still sweating by the time we reached the top).
The adoption cannot be finalized until you put your handprint on the form
